The "four-arched stone bridge, 1st half of the 18th century" was declared a monument zone in 1985 together with the monastery complex under the name "Monastery Marienstatt southwest of Streithausen". See: https://www.kuladig.de/Object-View/KLD-290380

The famous trade route, the Cologne-Leipzig road, once led over this historic monastery bridge. Coming from Altenkirchen, the route led from Kroppach through a ford across the Nister near Heuzert to Marienstatt Abbey and on via Hachenburg to Kirburg and finally to Leipzig.

The Nister Bridge (1831) is the landmark of Limbach. Nothing in Limbach is photographed more often than this old stone arch bridge, which celebrated its 150th anniversary last year. After more than 150 years, an extensive renovation of the Nister Bridge is now underway. More information about the remediation can be found here: https://www.limbach-ww.de/brueckensanierung.html
