Even though the ground is loose, you can still ride well. There are always little rest stops along the canal – a good thing, especially at 38°C.

Riding ELK from here is simply beautiful. Always along the canal. It's fun.

The village of Grambek was first documented as Grambeke in the Isfried Partition Treaty of 1194. The farming village belonged to the Gudow estate until 1808, which was restored in 1815. In 1889, with the abolition of the manorial police authority by Prussia, the Gudow administrative district was established, to which Grambek again belonged from 1948 onwards. The Gudow administrative district was merged with the Sterley administrative district in 1971 to form the Gudow-Sterley administrative district. With the dissolution of the Gudow-Sterley administrative district, the municipality joined the Breitenfelde administrative district on January 1, 2007.
