Baruth Castle has medieval roots. For almost 400 years it was the residence of the Counts of Solms-Baruth. The oldest part of the castle was extensively restored by the city of Baruth/Mark. In this "open house" you can see impressive frescoes in the Belle Floor, fine stucco and modern color schemes on the ground floor and an imposing barrel vault discover in the basement.

The entire complex in the classical style was built by the then landowner Friedrich Carl Leopold Reichsgraf zu Solms-Baruth. The former manor house dates from the second half of the 18th century. The castle has been used in different ways over the past few decades. From 1946 to 1977 it housed a school. Later it was a tourist station for children and adolescents as well as a school camp. The castle has been empty since 1993.

The two-storey manor house with a mansard roof was built by the von Rochow family between 1740 and 1754. A landscape park belongs to the castle; The palace and park can be used for weddings.

Built in 1757 after the Wolziger lynx was cleared by 12 families from Klein Ziescht. Between 1890 and 1900 a renovation took place. The estate was used by a canning factory in the 1930s and the administration was located in the manor house. After 1945 canning production continued. The plant closed in 1990. From 1993 a real estate company was planning a holiday home and leisure complex on the site. The factory buildings were demolished, the manor house renovated and leased to a restaurateur. Currently if the building is empty, the area is cordoned off.
