You can sometimes see a thin black layer in the different layers of the rocks. This was caused by a meteorite impact 66 million years ago, which led to the extinction of dinosaurs (and 60% of other animal species).

Although now only a few ruins remain of what once was, a castle once stood here. There is now an area with picnic tables, ideal for stopping for lunch. If you get here by one of the trails that arrive, a little before you will also pass by a small pond.

This is the peak of a small mountain below the castle of San Markos and where the castle of Kutarro once stood. Now the castle is in ruins, but there are picnic tables and it is a good area to visit.

At this point the Akolako Lepua I dolmen doesn't look like much more than rocks on the ground but there is a plaque with more information. It makes an interesting stop when you are on an adventure.

A great trail that leads to the Dolmen Akolako Lepua I. Nice views and easy to follow.

This path runs along the side of the mountain that has the abandoned Txoritokieta fortress. The path is very pretty with beautiful views, but if you have time to go up to the fortress it is very interesting.
