The Lange Berg is an 808 meter high mountain ridge in the northern Thuringian Forest. On top of the mountain stands the Prince Günther Monument. It was erected in honor of Karl Günther of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen.

One of my favorite places that I visit regularly. From here you have a magnificent view even to the Brocken when the view is clear. There is always a wonderful silence here to relax. But you can also meet other pioneers here. The absolute highlight is the sunset in summer. Is in no way inferior to a sunset in the sea :-)

Welcome to Greifenstein Castle High above the town of Bad Blankenburg, the gateway to the Schwarzatal, on the local mountain covered with old beech trees, lies the town's landmark, Greifenstein Castle.
