Beautiful estate situated between lakes. Great descent from the forest.

The oldest parts of Kletkamp Estate are known to be the oldest manor house in Schleswig-Holstein. It has been the ancestral seat of the Counts of Brockdorff since 1612, but an earlier building dates back to the 13th century. Today, the estate offers several vacation apartments. The view of the Kletkamp Lakes is also wonderful.

Plön Castle is one of the largest castles in Schleswig-Holstein and the only one preserved at an elevated location. It is located in the town of Plön in the district of the same name. The former residence of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön was built in the 17th century during the Thirty Years' War. It has had a turbulent history, serving, among other things, as a cadet school and boarding school. Most recently owned by the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Plön Castle was sold due to the state's inability to finance necessary renovations. Since January 2002, it has belonged to the "Fielmann Academy Plön Castle" and, following extensive renovations, serves the optics and hearing aid industry as a training and qualification center. After the castle had been closed to the public for many years due to the boarding school, the new owner opened it to a limited number of visitors. Eutin Castle in Eutin, East Holstein, is the cultural center and nucleus of the town. Along with Gottorf Castle and Glücksburg Castle, it is one of the most important secular court buildings in Schleswig-Holstein. The four-winged complex originated from a medieval castle and was expanded into a royal residence over several centuries.

The "Large Woman Seated in the Sun" is a bronze nude by Fritz During from 1959 on the lakeside of Plön Castle. The hunting lodge is beautifully situated with a view over the lake.

On the lake side of Plön Castle, Fritz During's Large Sitting in the Sun is squatting on a large boulder. The seated female nude presents the figure with bent legs crossed and arms crossed over the head. The face is turned sideways, upwards, towards the sun. In addition to the sensual, relaxed depiction, the formal structure is particularly important here - the beauty of the lines that the eye can follow.
