The Katzberg is a 230 m above sea level. NN high, partly wooded hill in the Deister-Süntel valley, which belongs to the Calenberger Bergland. The Katzberg is built of Jura stone with a crest of Wealden sandstone. Due to the coniferous forest and the wavy meadow areas, the elevation gives an alpine-like impression. Source: Wikipedia

A wonderful panoramic view towards Katzberg.

An imposing summit structure - we really like that, especially since you can sit so nicely in all directions. Unfortunately, this without a view, as trees are in view all around; o). Otherwise the summit cannot really be felt. We thought it was a bit flat up here.
