The Vilsbiburg municipal pool is a beautiful outdoor pool located directly on the Vils with a large lawn, children's playground and beach volleyball facility. In the municipal pool, located right next to the Vils, visitors can relax and enjoy sunny hours on a total area of 47,000 square meters. The 50-meter sports pool, a fun pool with a 70-meter water slide and the children's pool have a total water area of 2,400 square meters, are heated and leave nothing to be desired for the whole family. During the high season from June, the city pool is open to early swimmers on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. A 10-meter diving platform, a children's playground and a beach volleyball facility with five courts complete the offering. The city pool team offers its guests a varied program from swimming courses, aqua fitness to swimming and lifeguard badges. The city pool also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. The pool water is heated via a river heat pump in the Vils with a performance factor of 7 (one watt of energy used produces seven watts of heat). A PV system on the technology building generates electricity for self-consumption. Heat for heating and domestic hot water is supplied regeneratively via a district heating pipeline.
