理想主義的に復活したラーンワインの中心であり、素晴らしい小さな場所です。何世紀にもわたる伝統が（ほぼ）消滅していましたが、個人の熱意のおかげで2000年代初頭から復活しました！

A visit to Diez Castle is highly recommended: Perched atop a volcanic keratophyre rock, this hilltop castle dates back to the second half of the 11th century and impressively overlooks the old town of Diez in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its location above the confluence of the Aar and Lahn rivers offers a breathtaking view and blends nature with history. The castle now houses the modern Museum and Historical Society for Diez and the Surrounding Area, featuring rotating exhibitions on geology, technology, and regional history, as well as a youth hostel – a combination that unites historical charm with tourist amenities. Access is easily made via the castle steps in the old town or via Schlossberg Street. Ideal for your Komoot tour: Visit the castle, enjoy the view, stroll through the old town, then continue cycling along the Lahn River into the surrounding area – a worthwhile stop offering historical depth and views of the landscape and the Aar River.

It was wonderful, dry and we had beautiful weather, saw a lot and ate good spit roast in Geilnau at the SPD.
