The Jakobskirche in Bad Muskau is an important historical building that is deeply interwoven with the history of the city. It was built in 1564 and today serves as a burial chapel in the city's cemetery. Its current tower, which was added in 1855 as part of a comprehensive renovation, is particularly striking. A special highlight of the church is the grave of Machbuba, the companion of Hermann Prince of Pückler-Muskau. Its history is closely linked to that of the prince and the Bad Muskau palace park, which gives the church a special historical significance.
