Whenever I'm in Kartitsch, the Dorfberg is a must, both summer and winter. On a clear day, the panoramic view is magnificent.

The Golzentip is a peak that is easy to reach and this time it was even nicer because we had it to ourselves.

Rifugio Rinfreddo is a cozy mountain hut located at an altitude of approximately 1,887 meters at the foot of the Col Quaternà. It is suitable for both day trippers and overnight guests. The warm hospitality of the owners is particularly well-known. The area surrounding the hut is ideal for hikes and mountain bike tours. There is a parking lot nearby. The Hornischegg (2,552 m) was once a hotly contested border mountain between Italy and Austria. Today, it is considered the highest peak in the municipality of Sillian and a popular destination for hikers. A new summit cross now stands on its summit.

Well, the summit basically consists of the mountain station of the chairlift. But the view is still great. We trudged up from the Thurntaler Rast through the ski area to enter the terrain behind the Thurntaler.

If you are in the Lessachtal, it is a must to go to the Golzentip. It is not a difficult mountain but a great panoramic mountain.

Hornischegg is located right on the Carnic High Trail, on the border between Austria and Italy, with a spectacular view of the Sesto Dolomites.
