Part of the circular route is more suitable for mountain bikers. Not for those with weak knees. Otherwise, it's very rustic with lovely rest and viewpoints.

The Bärnlochweg is a circular hiking trail along the Osterbach on the border between Germany and Austria. The route begins in the center of Oberkappel and initially leads on the German side through the idyllic Bärnloch nature reserve. The total length of the trail is approximately 13 km.

From below there is a steep hiking trail, then very steep stairs at the top. So absolutely unsuitable for a heavy eBike. There is an alternative descent into the valley at Altenhof/Hochhaus.
