Anyone approaching Lake Hohennauen on two wheels will be rewarded halfway – with a bridge that is more than just a crossing. The view from here is far-reaching: Lake Ferchesar shimmers to the left, Lake Hohennauen stretches out to the right, and in the middle, Lake Semliner stretches long and blue through the landscape. The bridge itself is comfortable: structurally separate paths for cyclists and pedestrians – that's almost a luxury in Brandenburg. Below, water lilies lap against old pilings, above, boats glide by like mobile viewing platforms. If you pause here for a moment, you'll see what defines the region: expanse, water, wind – and a soothing silence that doesn't have to be loud to make an impression.

We happened upon this place on our bike ride from Kirchmöser to Paulinenaue. We couldn't resist the friendly invitation to a tour and coffee and cake. It's worth it! We started talking about the court gardener Fintelmann, who left his mark on Potsdam and on Peacock Island, and his connection to the Sandwich Islander Harry Maitey. The small church in Warsow was completed in 1683. It is a simple half-timbered church with a wooden bell tower. A large and a small bell were purchased around 1700. The organ was made in 1881 by the Lütkemüller company from Wittstock. Around 1900, the half-timbered structure of the nave was extended by around 4.50 m. The panels were probably plastered at the same time. This meant that the typical appearance of a half-timbered church disappeared. However, the beams remained visible inside.

The current village church in Brädikow is made up of two parts: the free-standing neo-Gothic church tower from 1868 and a bungalow-style parish hall that was newly built in the 1970s. The village church in Brädikow originally dates from the middle of the 18th century and was built as a simple brick half-timbered church in the shape of a baroque hall. In 1868, the tower was added on the west side. In 1974, the old half-timbered part of the church was demolished because it was in a state of disrepair, but the church tower remained standing. The parish of Brädikow was thus, contrary to the trend, a parish with a tower without a church, rather than a parish that had a church without a tower because it was in a state of disrepair.
