Piberstein Castle is located in the district of Piberstein in the municipality of Helfenberg, near the village of Ahorn in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. The rock castle was built in the 13th century, expanded around 1620 and fell into ruin over time. It has been renovated since 1964 and today serves as a regional cultural center. (Source: Wikipedia)

Built in the 13th century, Piberstein Castle is in very good condition thanks to extensive restoration work. Here you can take a break, walk around the old walls and enjoy the view of the Mühlviertel.
