The Palatinate Forest has been a biosphere reserve since 1992 and, together with the Northern Vosges Nature Park, forms the only cross-border biosphere reserve in Germany. As a big castle fan, I'm always happy when I see a ruin along a road.

Great road surface after renovation in 2024. Very easy to drive on. However, there is quite a lot of car traffic as it is the connecting road to the Kurpfalzpark.
