At 2,749 metres, the Birkkarspitze is the highest peak in the Karwendel Mountains and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps. The climb is challenging, but the panoramic reward at the summit is absolutely worth it.

The Birkkarspitze can be reached from the Scharte in approx. 10-15 minutes. At the top you have a top view. The climb is mandatory.

Great hut! If you stay overnight, you should definitely hike up the Sonnenspitze again in the evening to watch the spectacular sunset.
