Even during the ascent, first across alpine meadows and then along a narrow path, there are always beautiful views.

A not too difficult short summit climb from the Ahornsattel. Magnificent view of the Hall walls, Gesäuseberge, Tamischbachturm to Buchstein, Ötscher to Hochschwa area, Burspitz, Almkogel to Bodenwiesgipfel, Gr. Maiereck, Warschenkeck...., Sengsen Mountains...... The Astein summit is still easy to hike on this tour.
