Doesn't seem as bad as some other climbs in the Karawanken, but it's definitely worth it!

The Kömmelgupf heralds the Karawanken from the east, but is still a comparatively gentle mountain. From up here you have a nice view of the Petzen and the Koralpe.

The border between Austria and Slovenia runs over the summit of the Hühnerkogel. Except for a clearing on the summit plateau, the mountain is quite wooded. Therefore, you may have to stretch up a little to see the mountains beyond the treetops. A solid table with benches awaits you upstairs for a cozy break.

Fantastic short snowshoe hike on the Soboth

The summit is very little visited. You can see the Völkermarkt reservoir through the trees. The trail over the summit is steep and impassable as an uphill. S2
