The parish church of St. John the Baptist in Königsbrunn am Wagram is a Roman Catholic church with baroque origins. It was originally built as a single-nave church and extended in 1898. A further extension followed in 1936, giving the church its current cruciform layout with a round apse and tower. The stained glass windows on the north side of the church are noteworthy; these are originals from 1848. Located on Bromberg, it is a striking landmark of the town and plays a central role in the religious life of the community. Its interior combines traditional baroque elements with later architectural adaptations.

This church with the wall and the tunnel is one of my personal highlights on the Great Tullnerfeld circular hiking trail 475/675.

The Kirchberg am Wagram branch was made a parish in 1783. The baroque church was extended in 1898 according to the plans of the architect Joseph Koch. In 1936 the church was expanded into a cruciform church with a round apse and a tower.

Where Neuaigen Castle is today, there was already a fortified complex that was probably built by Laurenz Freiherr von Hofkirchen. Hofkirchen was enfeoffed in 1494 by the Roman-German King Maximilian I. After the destruction in the Thirty Years' War, Georg Andre Freiherr von Hofkirchen (1562-1623) erected a new building.
