Open during the day. 1614 is the oldest date in the history of the pilgrimage site of Our Lady of the Snows. The veneration of the Mother of God was first documented in 1756. The statue of grace also dates from this period. Empress Maria Theresa donated a piece of the cross to the church, which is still in use today.

Feistritz Castle rises proudly and mightily between the green hills of the Wechselland region. While in the Middle Ages it primarily offered protection against the onslaught of foreign troops, today it opens its doors for group events and peaceful art lovers.

The imposing castle high above the Feistritz valley was probably built in the 12th century. Between 1922 and 1924, the complex was extensively renovated and an army museum was set up, which no longer exists. Today, the castle houses an event center with rooms. Feistritz Fortress was probably built by ministerials in the second quarter of the 12th century. The castle was owned by the Pottendorf family from the 14th century until 1488 and by the Zinzendorf family until 1537. The complex passed to the Rottal family in 1547 and to the Lords of Pergen in 1681. From 1796 to 1815 the castle had changing owners, including Joseph Freiherr Dietrich von Dietrichsberg in 1815. In 1922 Maximilian Mautner bought the castle and, together with architect Marischka, undertook a comprehensive renovation until 1924. An army museum was set up in the castle, the holdings of which are now in the Military History Museum in Vienna. After 1960 the complex was adapted into a conference center for group events. The tower of the Turk's fall collapsed. With it, the crescent moon at the top also fell into the depths (the district papers reported). Now the crescent could be found. GLEISSENFELD (ts/e_peinsipp). The Turk's Fall is a landmark that can be seen from afar for the nature park and the hiking area with historical significance. But recently part of the ruin, which was artificially created over 200 years ago, collapsed. Parts of the boulders rolled through the forest to the hiking trails that began in the valley. Now the long-lost crescent that sat at the top of the Turk's Fall Tower could be handed over to the community again. A church was mentioned here as early as 1503 - in the Viennese Alps at the site of Kaltenegg, not far from Lichtenegg. In 1631, documents show a branch church dedicated to Radegundis and Oswald. In the centuries that followed, the church was both destroyed and renovated. When her family was spared the great stock market crash of 1872, a certain Antonia Winter had a church with two towers and a vicarage built out of gratitude. This made it possible to build a new building in the tradition of baroque pilgrimage churches. The patronage was taken over by the parish of Lichtenegg. Today, the sacred building in the Wilhelminian style - an architectural mix of classic and baroque - is a popular place of pilgrimage. Countless pilgrims come every year to the panoramic church at 850 m above sea level. Rax and Schneeberg form the picturesque backdrop.
