シュロス・アイヒビュッヘル（アイヒビュッヘル）は、14世紀にフォアデュング家によって建てられたと推定されています。ウィーナー・ノイシュタットの他の情報源によると、1558年から1566年の間に建てられたとされています。最初の城は1529年の第一次トルコ包囲網の際に破壊され、現在の城はそれとは少し離れた場所に再建された可能性があります。

The castle's history dates back to the 14th century, but it is shaped by the fateful days of April 1945. Commissioned by Stalin, Dr. Karl Renner spent twelve busy days at Eichbüchl Castle developing the basic structures of the Second Republic. At the same time, he prepared the formation of a provisional government, and as its Chancellor, he finally announced Austria's declaration of independence in Vienna on April 27, 1945.
