a very beautiful hiking trail

In some places the path is a bit narrow.

It's a pleasant place for cycling.

A bit far away for close-up photos, but definitely a beautiful route with great views. Very quiet!

The café on the central village square offers coffee and cake, as well as small snacks to take away or enjoy on site. If you take the small road leading east out of the village, you'll pass something on the right that seems to have fallen out of time: an old, disused ski lift is slowly approaching its disrepair. Anyone from around here (like me 🤭) knows that there used to be a ski resort here, and even a ski club. Back then, Neunkirchen was almost like the St. Moritz of the Odenwald. It was a long time ago...

Great campsite with a kiosk, a beautiful view of Lichtenberg Castle, and a small lake for swimming. The showers and restrooms are clean. There's even a hairdryer, something I haven't seen at any campsite before. The food is delicious. They don't typically rent out for one night, but they reserved a spot for us after an email request.

Trail-heavy alternative to the bike path along the road.
