The tower bears a weather vane inscribed with "Monte Sophia" and, together with the Roman Tower, is one of the prominent viewpoints on the reclaimed Sophienhöhe, which was once used as a spoil heap for the Hambach open-cast mine. The HöllerHorn reaches approximately 291.5 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest points on the Sophienhöhe, but it lies just below the summit level of the Roman Tower (301.8 meters above sea level).

Here, at the highest point of the Sophienhöhe, a 40-meter-high wooden observation tower called "Waldtänzerin" (Forest Dancer) is planned to be built in the coming years. Completion is scheduled for 2029. The tower will form a central station on the so-called Summit Route, a signposted circular trail connecting the planned visitor and information center with the high points of the observation tower, Höller Horn, and Jülicher Kopf.

The Himmelsleiter Trails officially offer a variety of routes on the Glessen Heights. The offerings include the "Glessener Welle" (a blue flow trail for beginners), the "Teufelsleiter" (a red, natural trail for advanced riders), and the "Fuchsbau" skill area for practicing technical fundamentals. The trails are approximately 350–400 meters long and open to the public. 🚧⚒️ Greetings from the trail builders ✌️
