Katzelsdorf Castle was built in the 12th century and was once owned by Countess Carolina von Lipona, Napoleon's sister. Since 1994 it has been owned by the municipality and is used as a service point, culture and events center.

It has a varied history with many owners, including Countess of Lipona, sister of Napoleon I, Duchess of Angouleme, daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, among others. During World War II, there was a horse hospital here. In 1994, the municipality bought the castle and expanded it into a regional event, culture and seminar center.

The castle, which did not withstand the first attack, is now only visible in ruins. However, the view from the hill is not to be despised!
