Surrounded by magnificent townhouses with Renaissance and Baroque facades, it presents a cohesive, historic cityscape. The dominant landmark is the Retz Town Hall Tower, which, together with the town hall itself, forms the architectural centerpiece of the square. For centuries, the tower has shaped the town's skyline, and its observation platform offers a panoramic view of the old town.
