The castle was built by Karl von Liechtenstein at the end of the 17th century as the residence of the sovereign secretary of the Moravian-Krumlov estate. In 1835, the estate was abolished, and the castle became a simple residential building. Since 1948, it has served as an office for a local farm. Today, it is in a state of disrepair.

Lampelberk (German Lampelberg) is a vineyard house designed as a romantic castle in the Czech municipality of Vrbovec (Urbau) in the Okres Znojmo. It is located northeast of the extinct village of Ječmeniště (Gerstenfeld) in the vineyards of the “Lampelberg” location (Viniční trať) near the Austrian border. Probably the most beautiful forgotten ruin - the Jaroslavice castle, unfortunately the architectural gem is the victim of a dispute between the Austrian owner and the descendants of the last owners, so it is still dilapidated but still worth a visit.

Beautiful castle complex, but privately owned. Therefore, visits are normally not possible. Unfortunately, the property is also very overgrown in summer, so you can hardly catch a glimpse of it from the outside.

A wooden fortress once stood here, later a castle that was burned down several times. A Renaissance chateau was built in the 16th century, the interior of which was modified in the Baroque style in the 17th century by the Italian master builder Domeniko Marteli. In the years 1730 - 1736 the second baroque reconstruction was carried out according to the plan of the fisherman Emanuel von Erlach (boss friend of the Countess Palavicini). The ceiling fresco in the palace chapel is by Anton Maulpertch. The chateau in Jaroslavice often changed owners, the last one was called August von Spee. The chateau has been owned by the state since 1945 and by the municipality since 1990. The chateau is inaccessible and so far the reconstruction of the building has failed.
