The castle has belonged to the Order of Malta (formerly known as the Order of St. John) for almost 900 years. Very nice guest rooms and excellent food!

Lampelberk (German Lampelberg) is a vineyard house designed as a romantic castle in the Czech municipality of Vrbovec (Urbau) in the Okres Znojmo. It is located northeast of the extinct village of Ječmeniště (Gerstenfeld) in the vineyards of the “Lampelberg” location (Viniční trať) near the Austrian border. Beautiful spacious castle complex. There is a hotel, a restaurant and a vinotheque here. A visit for a few photos or a guided tour is definitely worth it.
