The Linz Main Square is the city center of Linz and, at 13,140 m², is one of the largest built squares in Austria. It is only separated from the Danube by a street and the buildings at the bridgehead.

The Trinity Column is right in the center of the main square and rounds off the square nicely. The column can be clearly seen from every point of the square.

An impressive facility and also an impressive building. The Abwinden-Asten power plant is a run-of-river power plant, belongs to the Austrian Danube power plants and was built between 1976 and 1979. Nine sets of machines in the machine house supply electricity to the public power grid. The standard working capacity is 995 million kWh per year.

From the Danube Cycle Path, an impressive view opens up of the Linz Industrial Park – one of Austria's most important industrial areas and a key economic driver for the city of Linz. Numerous companies, primarily from the chemical and plastics industries, are located here, covering an area of approximately one square kilometer. Thanks to its excellent transport connections – with direct access to the motorway and rail network as well as the Danube tank port – the chemical park plays a crucial role in the country's industrial infrastructure. Despite its industrial backdrop, Linz boasts a lovingly preserved old town, modern cultural offerings, and superb cycle paths along the Danube. This section of the Danube Cycle Path only briefly passes by the industrial facilities, but offers a fascinating contrast between nature, technology, and urban development – typical of the multifaceted city of Linz.
