There are three tunnels at the bottom. While they're relatively short and well-lit, I still recommend at least a rear light for peace of mind (the signposted bicycle detour for the lowest tunnel is definitely NOT recommended, as there are scree slopes that are quite dangerous even if you're pushing your bike). Overall, though, it's such a beautiful and varied road that you almost (almost!) forget how much your legs hurt. The traffic is really very relaxed, especially on weekdays.

Be careful on the descent; the surface is poor in places and the road surface is bumpy. Don't forget your jacket, otherwise the long descent can quickly become slippery! 😉

The way up from the Lechtal is royally rewarded by the Anhalt at the Anhalter Hütte. The price for the Anhalt is paid on the last few meters on the Jöchle and rewarded with 'Bella Vista' back and forth.

Great view from up here. From the road it is about 300 meters in altitude to the summit cross. And then another 200 meters down to the Anhalter Hütte. The journey is worth it just because of the delicious Kaiserschmarrn!

grandiose and varied alpine pass, from Elmen it first goes up a poisonous ramp, then you wind your way into the valley towards Boden before it goes in tight bends towards the top of the pass, rather unrhythmically the 1000hm and real high mountain feeling, it's almost my local mountain and I love it the Hahntenjoch easy, unfortunately there is often a lot of motorbike traffic at the weekend, but during the weekday towards the evening it is almost completely deserted.

The ascent is really demanding and it is not that easy to find your rhythm. You can recover from the first steep ramps around 10 percent on the longer, flat plain, but you need a few more grains in the end, especially for the steep serpentines. On the descent I also got into a summer thunderstorm - a very special experience.;) After all, there was a bit of cooling from the 35 degrees on the way up.
