For experienced mountain hikers, it is a great ascent in the Gamsluck'n, mostly on all fours, with fantastic views from the summit to the Totes Gebirge, Dachstein massif, and Höllengebirge.....

Great view of the Traunstein and the surrounding area. If you walk quickly, you can reach the summit in 1 hour. The path from the summit to the right further down is partly overgrown but recognizable (waterproof shoes are an advantage if you are out and about in the morning...wet, tall grass)

Impossible with the bike!!!

Before you reach the cross, you have to cross a secured area with a rope. It's worth it because the view of Lake Traunsee and Traunstein and the surrounding mountains is wonderful.

Great mountain with far-reaching views. Nice climb to the summit. A bit of scrambling is required!

Geißwand and Baalstein offer a wonderful view over the Traunsee, which can usually be enjoyed in complete solitude and silence. The two viewing pulpits of Geißwand and Baalstein rise exactly above Traunkrichen - through the base of which a tunnel was built that has been bypassing the center of Traunkirchen since the 1990s. Both summits offer easy climbing ropes in the summit area and a magnificent view of the Traunstein - Schönberg - Erlakogel panorama on the east bank of Lake Traunsee, Traunkirchen, Atlmünster and Gmunden on the west and north banks. If you want to avoid the crowds that sometimes storm the Kleiner Sonnstein and also like to carry your own snack up the mountain, you've come to the right place.
