The roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw was a delicious way to refuel after the hike through the snow. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to take a picture. But I managed to get one while enjoying the chocolate-covered marshmallow treat and mulled wine. 😀 Everything was homemade – hearty, good Austrian cuisine in a cozy mountain hut atmosphere – just as you'd want it.

Almost completed renovation with nice young host

The fox is already very familiar with the surroundings. A vixen that has its den in the pines. On the second day, she came as far as the benches. The new takeover in November 2023 is definitely an enrichment to the previous innkeepers. The young innkeepers still need a little practice, however. Nevertheless, it was a welcome rest, even though the place was still being cleaned and it wasn't officially open until the next day.

I've had a good meal here a few times - there's also a vegetarian and vegan menu. We even stayed overnight here relatively spontaneously once when we were passing through. Everything was very simple and fine.

Good food, we have also stayed here before. Everything ok, good selection, even vegan.

The Häuslalmhütte is also open in early spring at around 1500m. With Grödeln, it can also be easily reached in winter via a wide snow field and offers food and drinks to strengthen yourself.
