A hut accessible by car and a starting point for various hikes. Idyllically situated on Lake Winterleiten. I can't understand why an alpine hut would have a day off. The Winterleitenhütte is a popular base for hikers and mountaineers and is located on the Eisenwurzenweg (Austrian long-distance hiking trail 08). In winter there is the possibility of ice skating on the Kleiner Winterleitensee as well as the use of a natural toboggan run, which starts directly behind the house. In addition, guided snowshoe hikes are offered.

Charming little Alm with a great view. The friendly hosts will be happy to spoil you with a hearty snack in the summer months. The Alm is closed in winter.
