Steep path to the chalet, but the view of the Gastlosen is worth it

Charming alpine hut with a terrace and farm atmosphere – directly on the trail between Schwarzsee (Gypsera) and the Euschels Pass. Regional specialties: goat cheese, fondue, dried sausage, homemade desserts, and cheese sales directly from the farm. Host: The Bapst family has been running the hut for over 100 years – family-friendly and authentic. 🚶 Route Integration: A frequent stop on hikes from Schwarzsee via the Euschels Pass to Jaun (circular tour approx. 13 km, ~5 hours, 700 m elevation gain). Access: The hiking trail leads through forest and open alpine meadows to the hut. From there, you can continue towards Breccaschlund and Riggisalp.

The Soldier's Chalet is an idyllic place to stock up on supplies and enjoy the panoramas of the Gastlosen. The chalet is open between May 15 and November 1.

The Salzmatt Hut, located in the picturesque Schwarzsee region, is a real insider tip for nature lovers and hikers. The Salzmatt Alpine Hut is open and open from the beginning of June to the end of September. Here you can enjoy a cool drink and a snack while taking in the breathtaking views.

The Riggisalp mountain station lies just below the majestic Kaiseregg peak and is the starting point for many wonderful trails through the stunning Breccaschlund valley, from where you can admire views of the lake and mountains.
