A beautiful viewpoint with a magnificent panoramic view of the Haller Mauern, Totes Gebirge, Reichraminger Hinterberge, and, in good weather, much further afield... The climb is also worthwhile. Even during the ascent, first across alpine meadows and then along a narrow path, there are always beautiful views.

The multi-peaked mountain ridge of the Schoberstein group stretches from west to east.

The memorial plaque is a visible sign of the early alpine work of the nature enthusiasts and a popular resting point on the way to the summit.

For the last stretch to the summit, it's better to leave the bike behind, then you won't have to struggle unnecessarily. Even riding back is only fun for enduro enthusiasts, and avoiding hikers is almost impossible.

"The Voralpe, or Voralm, is a mountain in the Ybbstal Alps in the border triangle of Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Styria. The mountain has two main peaks: the 1,770 m (5,700 ft) high Stumpfmauer on the border between Lower Austria and Upper Austria, which drops steeply to the southeast; and further southwest, the 1,727 m (5,700 ft) high Tanzboden on the border between Lower Austria and Styria. The border triangle is located in the saddle between the peaks. The Stumpfmauer is the highest elevation in the Steyr-Land district. The Voralpe can be climbed from Hollenstein an der Ybbs or from Altenmarkt, partly via roads and partly via trails, in about three hours. The mountain with the unusual name in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge offers a great view of the Grosser Priel, Spitzmauer, Haller Mauern as well as the Grosser and Kleiner Pyhrgas.
