A brilliant bathing lake with a very pleasant water temperature.

Your adventure begins on the western shore of Lake Klopeiner See, the warmest bathing lake in Europe, and takes you past the idyllic small lake. This natural lake dates from the last Ice Age and is considered a hidden angler's paradise. Your tour continues on a wide forest road, which meanders idyllically through the forest to the 686 m high Kitzelberg. Halfway through your gentle hike through the southern Carinthian flora and fauna, in the valley, in the midst of lush, green fields, you will again see the small lake surrounded by reeds and the Stein im Jauntal parish church, where today - in honor of Saint Hildegard von Stein - the custom of the so-called "Striezel Throwing" is celebrated. Once at the top, one of the most breathtaking lake views in Carinthia opens up to you on the modern viewing platform over the Klopeiner See, the Turnersee and the entire Jauntal. The tour to the Kitzelberg can also be started from Unternarrach.

Countless rest stops - pure enjoyment with a view of the lake

The viewing platform at the Klopeinersee offers a view of the entire lake. There is also a lookout tower on the Kitzelberg from which you look over the lake at a higher level.

The sports complex is located on the south side of the Klopeinersee. If you go running around the Klopeinersee, you cover a distance of 5 km. You are not allowed to cycle on the boulevard on the north side.
