The climb is particularly worthwhile for the Julienturm tower, which offers a panoramic view of the Vienna Woods all the way to the Rax and Schneeberg mountains. The hut is owned by the Friends of Nature and is normally open from Thursday to Sunday – but with a bit of luck, you might also get a cool drink outside of these hours. The trails there vary from easy to challenging, depending on the starting point, and lead through idyllic forest landscapes.
