"Through the wild and romantic Samina Valley" The path through the longest Rätikon valley at the foot of the Three Sisters is a dream tour. In summer as well as in autumn when the first snow falls on the mountains - the valley shines in golden autumn leaves - then the white cascades of the Samina gleam wonderfully in the sunlight. The Samina is the soul of the Liechtenstein alpine waters. It is dammed at the hamlet of Steg, where the first footbridge has been bridging the river since ancient times. From the Steg Tunnel bus stop, the markings lead briefly along the road over the bridge in front of the tunnel portal and point right there onto Bödastrasse, an alpine path that ends at Bödastall. This is where the actual mountain hiking trail begins, which runs continuously west of the river to the border: over the Sulzboden down to Kaufbödele and then along the left side of the stream to the mouth of the Valorschbach, which flows down on the opposite side of the valley. At the Fallck at the foot of the Three Sisters Massif, the path changes to Vorarlberg and turns into a comfortable forest path (yellow and white marking) in the wild and romantic gorge. Then the hiking trail leaves the Samina and leads up to the hilltop village of Amerlügen in Austria on a panoramic terrace of the Vorderälpeles. The Üble Gorge is truly impressive and worth seeing! Not only the wonderful roar of the river (Frutz) and the impressive rock walls of the gorge, but also the cool and almost adventurous trails are absolutely fantastic! P.S.: The trails through the Üble Gorge are marked in blue and white, corresponding to T3 trails, so a certain level of surefootedness and, in some places, a certain head for heights are required. However, many sections are well-secured and certainly manageable for many.

Säga pond (originally as a reservoir) The Nendler-Sägaweiher originally served as a reservoir for the operation of the Sägarei Frommelt in Ziegelmahd (Säga industrial area) in Nendeln and was built between 1920 and 1922. Towards the end of the 1950s, hydropower was abandoned and the Sägaweiher was no longer maintained. With the upgrading of the system in 2018/2019, an extinguishing water reservoir with around 300 m3 of water volume could be created at the same time, which meets the needs of public safety and covers an area of the new forest fire concept. The entrance to the Sägaweiher is located at the forestry operations building in Nendeln and, with a length of 1.2 km, leads past two waterfalls up to 710 m above sea level. There is a resting place with a public barbecue area, right by the green pond. The entrance to the suspension bridge to Planken was planned in the immediate vicinity. This project is expected to be resumed by the public sector shortly.
