Nice round

The Schöpfl, as the highest mountain in the Vienna Woods, offers an ideal combination of nature experience and impressive views. The climb to the Matraswarte is particularly worthwhile, from which a spectacular 360° panorama stretches - from Vienna across the Tullnerfeld to the Schneeberg and Ötscher. After the hike, the Schöpflhütte invites you to stop for a cozy break. The well-marked paths make the climb a pleasant experience, even for less experienced hikers. A detour to the Mitterschöpfl and the Leopold Figl Observatory rounds off the tour with beautiful natural impressions.

The Vienna Woods long-distance hiking trail, which is unfortunately no longer maintained, leads over here. There is very little view, but the forest is very beautiful.

The highlight of a long climb!

Up here there is probably one of the lowest summit crosses in Austria and yes, there is also a summit book to sign.

It's a real effort to cycle up there but it's worth every metre, good food served by friendly staff. All garnished with a great view!

There is even a summit cross here! Probably one of the lowest in Austria :-) A little further south of the summit cross there was a local mountain complex in the Middle Ages.
