The Urfahranermarkt, or Urfahr-Markt or Urfix for short, is a twice-yearly fair in the Urfahr district, on the fairgrounds named after the market (Urfahrmarktgelände). The previous visitor record is a total of 680,000 visitors at the spring market in 2012. The spring and autumn market have existed since 1817, when Emperor Franz I approved the holding of two markets per year. This makes it the oldest fair in Austria. According to the Linz market regulations, the Urfahranermarkt usually takes place for nine days in spring from the last Saturday in April and in autumn from the last Saturday in September.
