The Scheibenalm is a truly beautiful place to stop. Lush meadows, rustic alpine huts and a relaxed mountain backdrop invite you to pause, take photos or simply enjoy the alpine air.

The Scheibenalm is located at just over 1,800 m. The cozy stop offers home-made products such as Paznaun alpine cheese, butter and curd cheese.

Due to renovation work on the Arlberg Tunnel, the Arlberg Pass road will be closed to cyclists heading up the mountain in summer 2024. To ensure that cyclists can still cross the pass, a bike taxi service has been set up on both sides. The "BIKE-TAXI-ARLBERG" service, which can be booked by phone (+43 676 441 73 50), will transport cyclists to the top of the pass from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. using taxis and bike trailers.

It's worth taking a break at the Scheibenalm. Very nice people and the best cake in the area 😍

Due to the closure of the Arlberg tunnel from April 24th to November 22nd, 2024, the alternative road for cars, the B 197/L 197 over the Arlberg Pass, is closed to bicycles. A shuttle service has been set up for cyclists between St. Anton and Langen. Cyclists can be transported to the top of the pass by taxi and bicycle trailer between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. by ordering by phone (+43 676 441 73 50). The transport costs EUR 7.00 per person and bicycle. A maximum of 8 people with bicycles can be transported at the same time.

But be careful when parking. read boards!

Here it goes downhill on rather steep pistes and to the valley descent of the smugglers' route to Samnaun.
