The tower is nicknamed "Mehlsack" (flour sack) because of its white paint. From the top, there's a fantastic view 👀 of Lake Constance, the Salem Valley, and the Linzgau region, and on a clear day, you can even see the Alps. There's also a free panoramic telescope that displays the names of the visible mountains.

From the benches on the edge of the slope at the playground in Hohenbodman you have a fantastic view of the Salem Valley including Lake Constance and of course the Hohenbodman observation tower directly opposite.

Beautiful vantage point!

The panorama board installed on the Amalienhöhe by the Heimatverein Heiligenberg e.V. in 2000 helps to determine the Alpine peaks when visibility is good.

Between Betenbrunn and Beuren you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Salemertal to the Alps during the descent on the sometimes quite steep little road. Caution! Treacherous potholes lurk, especially on bright sunny days, and you can hardly see them in the shady areas of the route.
