Drinking water everywhere! Big fountains and small dispensers. The cyclist is happy in the heat. Swimming in the Rhine is also possible free of charge and is used by thousands on hot days. A well-closed Ortlieb scooter bag serves as a clothes bag. But be careful, from painful personal experience, older Ortliebs tend to leak! Test beforehand by filling it with water like a water bag and see if it drips anywhere.

Rapids in the Rhine. In warm weather you can lie down and let the water massage you like in the whirlpool. A wonderful refreshment!

The Wolfsschlucht with the bizarre rock formations from coral limestone with several small caves is approx. 200 m long & 20 m wide. The gorge was formed by an earlier watercourse about 160 million years ago; today the gorge is a dry karst area.
