This lake is worth visiting. If you come with a motorhome, drive early enough as it is very busy. The lake is very nice to cycle around as well as the neighboring towns. Bread service on the pitch is highly recommended

The cycle path runs along the Diemel for the most part and is well shaded, especially when the temperatures are high.

A great area for relaxation and cycling. Once around the lake is about 7 kilometers and the path leads in the shade of trees. If you want to go further, you can follow the pre-dam in the direction of Braunsen, via Wetterburg in the direction of Bad Arolsen, via Kplte in the direction of Volkmarsen - the ice cream there is delicious - or in the direction of Herbsen and Welda to Warburg directly along the Diemel. The bike path is also great to ride.
