Junkernthal Castle, still the residence of the Barons von Hövel, is part of Wingendorf's district. Junkernthal Castle is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside. There is no information about the original appearance of the late medieval noble seat; nor are any remains of the old buildings preserved. Some of the farm buildings, such as a brewery with a mansard roof, are still preserved, as is the gatehouse from 1742 and the pigeon house with a pagoda roof. The Ginsburg is the ruins of a high medieval hilltop castle in the Grund district of Hilchenbach in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Siegen-Wittgenstein. The Nassau castle complex was built in the early 13th century on the remains of a previous building. Up until 1360, the Ginsburg changed hands several times through inheritance, pledges and divisions. It gained particular importance in 1568, when William I of Orange-Nassau planned his campaign to liberate the Netherlands from Spanish rule at the castle. In the 17th century the castle fell into ruins, the remains of the walls of which were uncovered and restored in the 1960s.
