Sylvestersee The picturesque Sylvestersee, named after a British officer, was created by the compaction of the subsoil by heavy military machines. Today it blends harmoniously into the Osterheide and, although it is only fed by rainwater, has never dried out. The heath, no matter which one 😉 is not only beautiful in summer. In winter it is empty and quiet and beautiful 👍

The small island in the third pond can now be reached via a bridge and a small bench has also been set up. Everything looks new. In any case, an ideal place for a "photo shoot".

Beautiful small pond landscape with many aquatic plants. Nice place for a rest. Especially children have fun here

A hiking trail leads idyllically and quietly along the Seppenser Mühlenteich

It is a very successful nature reserve and offers habitat for the small water frog, grass snakes and a number of dragonfly species. I could also observe smooth snakes see photo. If you are there in good weather from May to August you will ALWAYS find water frogs and a number of grass snakes!!!
