... near the "Wanderparkplatz auf dem Haselstein", near "Breuningsweiler", a district of Winnenden in Baden-Württemberg. - approx. 448 m above sea level - the "Haselstein" is made of Stubensandstein - the Stubensandstein is firmly connected here and was once quarried as building stone. - This is why there is a former quarry here (entry prohibited due to rockfall). - The "Geological Trail" therefore leads around the outside of the quarry. - Geographically interesting: the paved path marks the "border" between the "Stubensandstein" (nutrient-poor) (Löwenstein Formation of the Middle Keuper) with steppe forest and the "Oberes Bunten Mergeln" (Upper Bunt Mergel) - predominantly nutrient-rich (Mainhardt Formation of the Middle Keuper) with vineyards. - The natural monument "Haselstein with steppe heath and steppe heath bushes" is located here.

Beautiful place, not overcrowded, absolutely recommended for nature lovers.

From here you have a beautiful view, there is also a launch pad for paragliders 🪂 and a nice barbecue area. The mountain festival of the Kleinheppach men's singing club also takes place here every year.
