Depending on the calendar month and whether a pair of falcons is nesting there, the access to the Veronika Cave or the climbing rock is either closed or open. However, the barrier (red and white) may have been removed from time to time, so caution is always advised and attention should be paid to the wildlife.

The Veronika Cave is located a little off the hiking trails and can only be reached via a narrow and sometimes challenging mountain path.

Located not far from the Yellow Rock, it is worth taking a short detour over/down to this natural highlight on the Teck Mountain, which is well worth seeing. If you go on foot, reasonably sturdy shoes are recommended. Anyone who takes the descent by bike should have strong technical skills and should also not take this trail during the week and on the weekend when the weather is good - legitimate trouble with the many hikers would be inevitable.

Nice path with stairs to the cave

The entrance, initially wide, then narrow and winding, leads approximately 10 meters up steps into a massive, eroded cave. Only a good 10 meters of it is noticeable, but several shafts lead up to 45 meters. There, the Verena Beutlins Hole opens in the ground, not far from the wind hole.

Currently in the winter months you should only go to the entrance, but not further in, as it is a quiet zone for bats. Beautiful little cave.

There are several small caves and shelters on the narrow path when you go to the Barnberg Cave. All classic Albkalk caves right on the edge.
