However, I was disappointed at the Bayreuther Hut. I had booked a 4-bed room back in January, so I was in plenty of time. When we arrived here in the late afternoon, we were sent to a 6-bed room. When I asked the hut warden about it, he simply said I only had a 4-bed room. Long story short, this hut is off-limits for us. The hike to Pertisau was long, but there were some very beautiful paths and trails. However, the bus from Maurach to Pertisau only ran every hour.

Worth a stop to take a break. Take a look inside, fill your water bottle, rest in the shade or take shelter when a rain shower passes by.

Very cozy hut on the eastern edge of the Karwendel mountains. Significantly less frequented than the Erfurter Hütte, which can be reached by mountain railway. Excellent beer from Bayreuth and a small but fine menu complete the experience. Several peaks can be reached in 1-2 hours. I would choose this hut again at any time.

Easy hiking trail, easy to get to. Sturdy shoes recommended. Great view. Hut (Gipfö Hit) open Mon-Sun to stop off

The interior of the chapel is definitely worth a visit. Here you can find an interesting variant of the Stations of the Cross - executed as modern stained glass. Next to the chapel there is a rustic fountain from which you can get drinking water.

My absolute highlight, in addition to the summit cross and the great mountains, was the Gernalm! Great service, delicious bread, delicious homemade fruit brandy, fresh milk and a super nice host! And all that for a great price. ONLY RECOMMENDED!!!

The top of the Schatzberg. The mountain is 1,898 meters high and is located in the Kitzbühel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. From here you have a beautiful view of the entire area.
