Great climb! Even beginners can do it, as there are plenty of opportunities to take a breather :) This challenge is worth it!

Away from the main road, making it very quiet and comfortable to ride. The road is also suitable for racing bikes.

Current situation: the second to last bridge (at the top at 47.517343, 10.382537) over the stream is not only dismantled in winter, but ALL YEAR ROUND!! So even in summer it is advisable to take the Kellerwandweg or the path between Hirschberg and Hirsch-Alpe over the bridge at the very top (it is very beautiful, and goes through the forest most of the time). "Normal hikers" should DEFINITELY turn around or turn off at the sign "Bridge dismantled . . ." Some users describe the Hirschbachtobel as being able to cross the stream above the dismantled bridge - this is LIFE-THREATENING - the narrow path there is extremely dangerous.

Great and above all well-kept little zoo with local animals, some of which can be petted/brushed. A nice place to visit even without children. The attached cafe has a wide selection of cold and warm dishes of the highest quality from the region
