Swabian Alb, absolutely a cycling paradise

The Hurschturm offers a wonderful all-round view, not only over the entire biosphere reserve around Münsingen, but over the entire Alb, including a far-reaching view of the Black Forest and, in good visibility conditions, of the Alps.

The Hursch tower is an observation tower from which the military exercises from the Münsingen military training area were controlled and observed. The old command status is still preserved above. From the tower you have a great view of the Alb and beyond. A fee of EUR 1 is to be expected. Only a maximum of 10 people are allowed to stay on the tower at the same time.

Unfortunately, the tower is closed in winter. But it would certainly be a wonderful view from above. The landmark of Römerstein, the Römerstein tower is located between the districts of Böhringen and Donnstetten. From April to November the tower is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Otherwise, the key can be borrowed from the Römerstein mayor's office. Height above sea level: 874 m Tower height: 28 m Entry: Adults EUR 0.50 Children 0.25 EUR For members and their families of a hiking club that belongs to the German Hiking Association, entry is free on presentation of a membership card.
