Particularly impressive: the nearby nature reserve along the bank, which gives you the opportunity to experience the region's biodiversity up close. With a bit of luck you can observe rare plants and animals here. Seating is available for short breaks or a cozy picnic in between, and two playgrounds also entice you to stop. Not to forget: The lake also offers our four-legged companions refreshment and bathing fun, as our little travel test with dogs showed. However, before you set off, think about comfortable shoes and clothing. Good preparation with enough water and food is appropriate. And especially in the summer months, you shouldn't forget mosquito repellent so that you can enjoy nature undisturbed. A final note for everyone who is looking for peace and quiet: During the week, when Berlin is pulsating with its everyday rhythms, you will often find the most beautiful solitude here at Krossinsee. But even on weekends, despite the possible crowds, this place remains a jewel in the lake landscape around the capital.
